You can expect a non-judgmental, collaborative, and safe space to discuss whatever is on your mind. My therapy style is conversational and supportive. I will give you feedback, encourage insights, and teach you concepts and skills to cope better and make changes. Everyone is unique in their strengths and in their challenges, so I will tailor our work to your individual landscape. My world-view and perspective on living are informed by transpersonal and eastern philosophies.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology in 1998 and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2011. I am licensed to work within Washington State and Illinois. In addition to my professional licenses, I am also certified as a Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist, a Substance Use Counselor, and a Problem Gambling Counselor.
I am extensively trained and experienced in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based CBT, Harm Reduction, and Relational-Cultural Therapy.
On a personal note I love connecting with nature, engaging with art, playing indie video games, dancing to live music, watching comedy, and traveling. I have lived in Ohio, California, Washington, and currently reside in Chicago, Illinois.
